Wonderworks Gemstone of the Week: Rose Quartz
In honour of Valentine’s Day and celebrating love in its many varied forms, rose quartz is the Gemstone of the Week! As Naisha Ahsian says in The Book of Stones, “Don’t let the the soft pink colour and soothing energy of this stone fool you into discounting its power. Rose Quartz is one of the most important stones of our time.”
Rose quartz is the quintessential stone of love: for ourselves, our lovers, our families, the Earth, the Divine. It activates the heart chakra, helping to heal wounds and create trust, self-esteem, self-forgiveness, and compassion, and releasing anger, fear, and resentment, so that we can live lives of joy and longevity. Through this stone, we emanate love, which in turn draws love to us. It is excellent for jump-starting romance.
Life & style Valentine's Day The money has gone, so make love our alternative currency - an article by Jeanette Winterson
“Reclaiming love is the best thing we can do.” Go be inspired by Jeannette Winterson - she knows what she is talking about (and also writes the most beautiful and heart-wrenching novels I have ever read.)
An Incredible blog with an Incredible list of Deities. <3
There are some interesting starting points for learning about different deities here, but I’d take it with a grain of salt, and encourage readers to do a lot of further research on each specific deity, especially if someone strikes you as interesting.
I saw at least 3 inaccuracies in the first 2 pages worth of information, including the misnaming of one deities’ origins. Sedna is an Inuit goddess - “Eskimo” is pejorative and is not commonly used anymore.
