lifelivedinanalog:

Realm of Hungry Ghosts was an experimental and experiential illustration project included in If Walls Could Talk at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto, March 2014.

These illustrations explored the idea of impermanence and the cycle of change. Viewers were invited to manipulate the surface to reveal further imagery or create imagery of their own. Ultimately the illustrations would return to their original state, thus completing the cycle.

My dear friend Nat Janin is crazy talented. Look at this awesomeness!

When you need to stop an asteroid, you get Superman. When you need to solve a mystery, you call Batman. But when you need to end a war, you get Wonder Woman.

Only 2 days left to help us create tarot-inspired burlesque magic at the historic Michigan Theatre. We are so close to our goal (89% funded). If we don’t make our goal, the show can’t go on. Every dollar helps at this point. There are still lots of amazing rewards to be had. There’s just five days left to support Pick a Card: A Burlesque Exploration of Tarot Kickstarter!

This truly the most ambitious, exciting and original project Nerd Girl Burlesque has ever been asked to participate in. The show is set to take place at the gorgeous & historic Michigan Theatre (in Ann Arbor, MI) on September 27 but the show can only happen if we make our goal by Saturday, August 16!

The line-up is mind-boggling amazing, including headliner Roxi D’Lite (2014 World Champion of Exotic Dance, The Reigning Queen of Burlesque Miss Exotic World 2010). Produced by Ann Arbor’s Gala Delicious & Cruel Valentine (Chicago). Also featuring: more talent from Chicago - Red Rum, Dahlia Fatale, Vaudezilla’s Lilly Rascal, as well as Michigan phenomenons Dolly Dagger, Lushes LaMoan, The Vivacious Miss Audacious, Luna Legare, Annie Thing, AErin Garber Pearson and Violet Defiant, Mylitta & more!

There are amazing rewards available - even if you are unable to make the show itself. Help us created tarot inspired theatrical magic!

Hey friends, my burlesque troupe, Nerd Girl Burlesque is involved in this amazing project. We only have five days left to raise approximately $2800. I know we can do this!

This project is extremely dear to heart, it’s a fusion of two of my favourite things: burlesque & tarot. I think it’s going to challenge a lot of perceptions of what burlesque can be and blur the lines between our art form, performance art, and dream-like theatrical spectacle.

If all of my own followers donated $2 each, we’d surpass our goal today. Every little bit helps at this point, please if you’ve got even a few dollars to spare, please consider making a contribution.
